Release Checklist

Used by mpm to prepare releases.

Things to check:

• Pulled from i18n and crew

• Check buildbot

• Check for queued security patches
• Run make-release
  • tag
  • sign
  • build release tarballs
• Run post-release
  • push stable branch
  • upload signed release tarball to Pypi with twine
  • upload signed release tarball to mercurial-scm.org
  • update latest.dat file
  • clean-up build

• Add Bugzilla version

• Ping mercurial-packaging@mercurial-scm.org

• WhatsNew updated (changelog or changes script)

• UpgradeNotes updated with any (BC) notes

• tag and push PythonHglib if there are new changesets

• Mercurial/NewsItems updated

• Update irc topic
