["Mercurial"] のインストールのしかたは簡単です。

• Linux, MacOS X, その他の Unix では UnixInstall の指示に従ってください。

• Windows では WindowsInstall の指示に従ってください。

終わったら、またここへ戻ってきてください。

注意: このチュートリアルではあなたがバージョン 0.6 以降の ["Mercurial"] を動かしていると仮定しています。つまり、あなたがリリース 0.6 を使っているなら、このチュートリアルは役に立ちません。このチュートリアルは ["Mercurial"] 0.7 用に更新されました。

["Mercurial"] プログラムの名前は hg です。["Mercurial"] の各コマンドは hg から始まり、次にコマンド名が来て、その後に関連したオプションと引数がきます。

["Mercurial"] がインストールされたので、プロンプトで 単純に hg とタイプすれば、プログラムは役に立つコマンドのサマリを表示するはずです。

$ hg
Mercurial Distributed SCM

basic commands (use "hg help" for the full list or option "-v" for details):

 add        add the specified files on the next commit
 annotate   show changeset information per file line
 clone      make a copy of an existing repository

どのバージョンの Mercurial が実行されるかを見るには、次のように打ってください:
