My sister is due to give birth mid-january, but I have no preferences w.r.t. date other than that. It's unlikely that I will be able to afford a trip to the US.

I'm very seriously considering heading to PyCon and a sprint the same weekend would pretty much tip the scales.

I can't afford to travel to Europe without sponsorship.

I can get to Chicago and know people there what would let me crash on their couch, so sponsorship for that would not be necessary.
